Profile.
Danny joined Glaisyers ETL as a Partner in 2019, specialising in commercial litigation. He represents a diverse range of clients, including banks, building societies, SMEs, insolvency practitioners and private individuals. Danny has handled high-value litigation and significant cases, particularly in the banking and finance sectors.
Danny qualified in 2004, beginning his career with hands-on training at East Lancashire’s Haworth & Nutall, followed by a role at SAS Daniels in Cheshire. He then spent a decade at Legal 500 firm Kuits, where he became a partner in 2014. In 2016, Danny joined international law firm DWF as a senior solicitor, working in its Finance Litigation team for three years.
He has expertise in lender litigation, including recoveries under loan and guarantee agreements, the appointment of LPA receivers and negligence claims against professional advisers. Danny has acted for a variety of clients, from bridging lenders and challenger banks to global financial institutions. He has also provided training to lenders and has spent time on secondment at a major bank.
Danny has been regularly recognised in the Legal 500 for his significant experience advising lenders and handling complex finance-related litigation. It has been said that he has “excellent client care, with a results-focused and pragmatic approach” and has “significant experience advising lenders”. He has also been recognised for frequently handling recoveries under guarantee and commercial loan agreements, as well as negligence claims against professional advisers.
Away from work, Danny is a keen runner and enjoys an occasional trip to the pub for a civilised pint with friends and family.
